This week we have been focusing on a Timber Framed Barn. Having made the base and secured uprights, we have made the barn frame, and are focusing on the roof construction.
Jordy: I have got my safe working at height award, but until we get all these noggins in and get the rafters secured safely, I'm not allowed up there… Next week I'll be up!
Brad: To be honest I'm good at this. The battery saw will make this easier, but for now I’m getting my cuts straight using the jack saws. You have to get the screws and drill lined up, ‘cos they get all messed up if you don't
Simon: Really pleased with the lads. They're using the tools safely and know that even though this is a small site, safety is top priority. Brad has yet to complete safe working at height, but once these rafters are fixed, Jordy will be putting in struts to counter any warping
